The History Of
Early Years CrècheThe Crèche
originally opened in the early 90's and worked primarily with
families on low fixed income. They were provided with free
Crèche places whilst making use of the services provided by
the Centre. The services
provided by the Centre expanded in 1997 when our Crèche became
a Social Enterprise, providing facilities for families in Blackburn
and around surrounding area's.

Care Commission Feedback
Following a recent inspection from the Care Commission the inspectors
gave the centre a glowing tribute with 5's across the board.
No recommendations or requirements for improvement were requested.
These results have made our small crèche one of most commendable
facilities in the West Lothian area.

Meals:
The centre promotes healthy eating and provides all children with
morning and afternoon snacks.
Children have the opportunity to participate in the shopping and
all preparation of
snacks.
Example Snacks: Homemade Soup, Home Baking, Fresh Fruit and Vegetables.
Parents will provide lunch. |

centre.

year, excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day |
Crèche Area's:
Baby Room
The baby room is for children 0-2yrs old.
Soft flooring, baby toys and equipment. High chairs, travel cots.
Tweenie Room
The Tweenie Room is for children 2-3yrs old.
The room has sand
play area, workbench. Table top toys, construction and art.
The room is spacious for free play.
Toddler Room
The toddler room is for children 3-5yrs old.
House corner, book corner, dressing up corner.
Arts & Crafts, sand tray, water tray.
Topical time for ongoing projects and themes.
Kitchen
Kitchen is where we prepare all snacks.
We also have weekly
baking sessions with the children
Sleep Room
This is a designated sleeping area for all kids,
